Football Physio Event - Reds V Blues 2015

We are often asked to provide event physiotherapy.  We work for bands, performers, sports clubs but we always enjoy working for the Reds V Blues team at Sheffield Sports Arena.  This year, they worked their socks off raising money for Cavendish Cancer Care and SWFC and SUFC Communities .  Read all about it on our news page and see more photo's via our Facebook site

Christmas Shoebox Appeal - Drop off Point

You may have heard of a fantastic appeal that is really taking off in Sheffield.  There is no ideal time to be homeless, however, being homeless at Christmas time must be truly horrific.  That's why we've teamed up with the brains (and hearts) that run the appeal to be an official drop-off point for the shoeboxes.  If you want to help, please drop in a (wrapped) shoebox in clinic and we'll see it gets to someone in need this Christmas.  Please see the instructions on the poster below for what to do and ideas of what to put inside.  Great isn't it?  Thank you.   See more on Facebook via this link - click here

Ross 'The Boss' Burkinshaw - Physiotherapy & Sports Massage Sponsorship for 2015

We are delighted to announce our support in sponsoring local sportsman/boxer, Ross 'The Boss' Burkinshaw

Ross Burkinshaw Sponsored by Sheffield Therapy Centre Sports Physio Sprts Massage

We have been taking a keen interest in Ross' career and helped him prepare for his last 2 professional fights.  The former soldier is meticulous in every area of his preparation for his fights and we know that our contribution to helping him stay injury free and in peak physical condition is just another piece in the jigsaw of helping a future world champion.  It is physically impossible not to like Ross, so the fact that he is a lovely, Sheffield bloke is a complete bonus.  Exciting times ahead for a gentleman.   #SteelCityBoss #TeamBoss

Chiropody Sponsorship - Sheffield Therapy Centre

Here at Sheffield Therapy Centre, we try to do as much as we can for our local community and have supported many individuals and Chiropody Podiatry Sheffield - Stan Turton WW2 hero charitable causes in Sheffield and nationally.  We would like to thank our patients for their continued support as by doing so, you allow us to help in small ways making a big difference.

Here we are with Stan Turton, of Dronfield.  Stan is our face of our Chiropody / Podiatry Services.  When Stan first came to our clinic in 2013, he couldn't have been thinking he would be picking up a 'job' as a model but Stan is no ordinary individual.  Stan is a World War 2 war hero who has makes us proud that not only is he a patient of ours, but that he has agreed to be the 'face of our Chiropody services.'  We now support Stan by giving him free treatment - as much as he wants.  As you'd imagine though, we have a job on our hands getting him to accept any sort of freebies - it is just not his way.  Stan is a principled, proud man but we're working on this though and hope to convince him to accept it.  He's doing us the favour by allowing us to treat him.  We might not be fit to lace your boots Stan, but please let us look after your feet - after all the sacrifices you made for our generation, it is the very least we can do.  We absolutely love having him in clinic and Sarah (Clinic Director) and Matt (Chiropodist) regularly discuss which one of them is going to take him home to live with them!

Here at the Sheffield Therapy Centre and Mark Roe Sports Physio Academy, it is not all take - we like to try and give something back too.  EvenLiam Cameron - Boxing Injuries Sheffield Physiotherapist as a small company, we try to do as much as we can for our local community.  In particular, we like to support our youth sports sector and have run our "Sponsor a Sports Star" competition for two consecutive years.  For 2010, Liam Cameron an up-and-coming local boxer from Manor Top is receiving free physiotherapy treatments, assessments and tailored programmes to help him through the ranks.  Liam is doing extremely well and is tipped as one to watch by Sheffield's Dennis Hobson.

Becky Mayo - Sheffield Ice-Skating Injury - PhysiotherapyIn 2009, we supported Becky Mayo with free Physiotherapy to help her in her bid to return to competitive ice-skating.  Becky suffered many set-backs with serious injuries to her shins which needed several operations.  With the Physiotherapy support she received at Sheffield Therapy Centre, she has recently returned to the ice-rink and is competing again.  Fingers crossed she can climb the British rankings.  Good luck Becky!  You know who you can dedicate your medals too!

We also subsidise sports physiotherapy for all clubs or teams that register with us by providing them with money off vouchers for their players and members.  There is no obligation to use us and there are no tie-in - it is a simple money off scheme for those teams that register.  The added bonus is that we will also place each entry form into a prize-draw for sponsorship.  This years winners were drawn by the former Prime Minister's Ambassador for the World Cup Bid , Richard Caborn.Richard Caborn - Sports Injuries and Sports Physio Sheffield  Here Richard is launching the Mark Roe Sports Physio Academy and announcing the winners of the sponsorship (Woodhouse West End WMC) which was featured in the Sheffield Star.

Should you be wish to register, please email and we will forward you the relevant, simple form.
